Liliana holds BSc (2023) and MSc (2025) in Biology from University of Łódź, where she is currently completing her MSc in Data Science. She is pursuing an MSc in Cognitive Science at Jagiellonian University.
As a math tutor, she developed an interest in mathematical insight and intuition, as well as in math anxiety and fostering mathematical resilience, which led her to Mathematical Cognition and Learning Lab. She collaborates with the MCLL in the field of statistical analysis.
As a data scientist, she is fascinated by statistics, the proper interpretation of data, and the possibilities offered by machine learning. Her current research explores the use of tensor regression methods in neuroimaging.
As a biologist she focuses on herbs, secondary metabolites and their effects on health. She served as the manager of a scientific project entitled "The impact of soil application of a microbiological-biopolymer complex on the production of sugars and volatile secondary metabolites with health-promoting properties by the medicinal plants Thymus vulgaris and Origanum vulgare," which was conducted under the auspices of a Student Research Grant (2024). She is engaged in a research project entitled "Intense smell in organic farming - the endogenous nitric oxide and sulfur-containing volatile compounds in the protection of tomato plants against gray mold disease, based on the use of microbiological biocontrol agents". (2025-2026)
She has presented her research at international conferences including Plant Biology Europe (2025), The Vital Nature Sign (2024, 2025), The Young Science Congress (2024), Aspects of Neuroscience (2023, 2024).
Liliana loves acquiring new knowledge and connecting the dots, and she is always curious to learn more.
