Federico D’Atri holds an MSc in Applied Cognitive Psychology from the University of Trieste, where he completed a thesis on the application of bidimensional regression to drawing tests commonly used in dementia screening under the supervision of Michele Grassi. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science at the University of Trieste, focusing on topics at the intersection of spatial attention, emotion, and numerical cognition under the supervision of Carlo Fantoni.
At present, he is visiting the Mathematical Cognition and Learning Lab for a simulation project that involves comparing different methodologies for detecting the SNARC effect and other cognitive effects from conflict paradigms, in collaboration with Krzysztof Cipora and Mateusz Hohol.
During his free time, he enjoys diving deep into methodological issues in data analysis. Otherwise, you’ll probably find him at some climbing gym.
