Dr. Krzysztof Cipora joined the Jagiellonian University as an Associate Professor and Co-Leader of the MCLL, together with Dr. Mateusz Hohol. Krzysztof obtained his MSc (2010) and PhD (2016) in psychology at the Jagiellonian University. Afterwards, he spent four years as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Psychology at the University of Tübingen (Germany), and five years as a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Mathematical Cognition, Loughborough University (United Kingdom). His research interests include elementary number processing (especially Spatial–Numerical Associations), links between number processing and mathematical skills, math anxiety (its measurement and relationship to mathematics achievement across different groups), linguistic and cultural influences on number processing, as well as research methods, open science, and reproducibility. On these topics, Krzysztof has published widely in journals such as Cognition, Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, Journal of Experimental Psychology: Learning, Memory, and Cognition, Psychological Research, Canadian Journal of Experimental Psychology, Advances in Methods and Practices in Psychological Science, Behavior Research Methods, and Mind, Brain, and Education.
